I decided to run the 4ohm dvc parallel so it will run at 2 ohms, since the M500 shows 500 watts @2 ohms , I have heard that this amp is stable to 1 ohm, should I have purchased a 2ohm dvc?

OK, I finally went to the shop. For a ported box with the Kicker 2x 12" L7 w/ Ported Box, it will run me about $599.99 and another $50 for labor (This also covers amp install). When I decide on a radio, a standard receiver will cost $30 to be installed. The guy said I should get one of the amps in the store, which is a Power Acoustic A1800DB for $329.99. I am kind of skeptical about buying that. I also don't think I want to spend a bunch on an amp. I am not sure if I should buy the Kicker ZX1500.1 amp. I am pretty sure I am going to the buy the HiFonics Zeus 6.5" comps.

So to sum up:

I am pretty sure I am going with the Kicker 2x 12" L7's w/ Ported Box.
I am pretty sure I am going to get the HiFonics Zeus 6.5" Comps.
I could use some recommendations to what would power the subs, because I am unsure of the Power Acoustics' Amp.
I kind of want a screen for the dash, but I do not know if I want to spend the money.

Thanks in Advance

Out of the Power Acoustik line up... I would recommend the new Gothic series amps... if you go with the Kicker L7 Dual 4ohm voice coil 12"s, then you may want to look at the Gothic OV1-3000 (1700wrms @ 1ohm).

As for a more affordable h/u with video... Look at the Jensen VM9412, Jensen has stepped up nicely in the last few years and offers some good quality features at a good price :)

Gonna talk to the parents tomorrow about getting the system. Pray for me.

Also, would you suggest another brand in a similar price range that is better than Power Acoustiks for amps?

Well I don't know what all your local shop carries and at what price ranges... P/A is alright, but better can definately be had... If you fill us in on what lines they carry then we could give you a better idea of what might fit the bill better...
Oh and I must say that I am glad to see you supporting your local shop ;)

They say they can order anything I want. The reason I am supporting my shop is because my boss said if I dropped his name they would give me some good deals. They are doing the best pricing on installation I have seen in the city.

See if they can get you Hifonics... The Brutus BXI1606D to be precise. It'll be a little more than the P/A amp, but still far less than the Kicker amp and is a far better amp ;)

Ok, got the final quotes on everything, $299 for the BX1606D HiFonics Amp, $550 for the 2 12" L7's with ported enclosure, $380 for the Jensen VM9412 in-dash screen. He said he was unable to get the HiFonics Zeus components for some reason. Having said all this should I ask him if I can order the Zeus components myself and see if they could just install them as I have heard these are highly recommend? If not, what path should I take in getting speakers? He said he had some kicker speakers(not too sure about them though), polk audio speakers. Final question for this post, should I get the subs in 2 Ohm or 4 Ohm impedance?

Thanks so much guys, I am grateful for you wisdom! :D

you would want dual 4 ohm so you can wire them to 1 ohm

for a local shop thats really good pricing. Thats real close to what that goes on e-bay for, plus you have a box specific for them and most of all a warranty. thats gonna be loud...
