Doors Speakers

Post by thebigo »

I have a '97 Ford Aerostar (I know, it's such a great ride, but at 17, somehting is better than nothing). Anyway, there are no speakers in the door, just 3.5's in the dash and 6x9's in the rear. I want to put speakers in the door, and there is a nice spot for them. Is is easy to do and is there any special way to do this? Are there any recomended speakers to use(shallow mounts?)? Anything I need to know before i do it?

Well first, how much room is there... Depth and Diameter?
Do you wanna leave it stock looking or had you thought about adding pods (and is there enough room for them)?

Wiring is simple enough, especially if you're going to amp them... Wire Coat Hanger is your best friend for getting the wire into the door ;)

Well you may be wanting to take the door panels off and get a look and dimensions before making any plans.

By the way, there's nothin wrong with a minivan... They make up great for spl :)
