For the most part All of these HUGE subs at outlandish prices are mearly a marketing technique to get stupid kids to "Oooh" and "Awe" at... As previously stated: That kind of money dropped on better equipment could and would out perform these monsters hands down...
And I've actually seen one of those monster Audiobahns run... the guy had the box in the back of his pickup with a cap and glass removed. If I remember correctly he did a 159 and last I heard after that was that he was so dissappointed that he switched up to 4) 15"s (not bahn) in the back and is doing 160's now.

thats cool, still i liked that awt-34 just because of its size, and at the time (I was running audiobahn) used to brag about how they had the biggest subwoofer out there... Yea its definitely a marketing technique to get kids to ooh and ahhh, it doesnt mean they are stupid though, i mean im not stupid and i oohed and ahhed at it... Its just not every day u see something that big...
A really cool idea for the Jackhammer would be to make it into a exhibit or a piece of furniture in a really modern looking house

The Jackhammer would make a great exibit at shows to lure people to the products... but to actually try to sell something of that size and at that price is a little rediculus

well before this last weekend i didnt think much of the jackhammers but... i went to the heat wave in south padre this last weekend and they had the mtx escalade truck up there with 2 jackhammers and 4 8500 12's. i was sitting in it for a bout a minute and could not stand anymore... and i like ALOT of bass but anyways it was rediculous. i have pics of it on the computer if anybody wants pics email [email protected]

the only problem is that the MTX Escalade could have gotten the same desired result with a better box design and different woofers... The Jackhammers are overpriced and impractical. For 7 Grand i could get myself a nice lil used sports car and just drive it around on a nice day. Much more satisfying than luggin around an extra 300 lbs in my car.
