haha true sony is bottom of the line I guess.

after having it for two days, my only complaints are the lack of a pause button and an ATT button on the face of the deck. for pausing you have to hit the function button and then up. I haven't found the ATT in the menus yet. They provide both of the buttons on the remote though.

yeah thats the drawback to the higher end models, for some reason the remote doesnt even have pause, a huge drawback to competitors

chyea its a huge drawback to competitors!!! I won't think about buying one just because their higher end models dont have an easy access pause button. Even though they are great units, i wont get one.

they do you just have to be slick ;) and i have a secret for burping its better to mute it and put the track on repeat than it is to just pause and unpause.

i actualy just did this same comparison at wally world....i ordered my li'l sis' a 490ib,same as the 4900 just the premier model.i pondered for days on calling sonic electronix and having them switch the pio out for a "higher end" sony.well, when i was at wal mart the other day i notice they have the 4900 and a sony that's actualy supposed to be better than the one i was looking at on line, like $300 at wally world.i played around with settings and what not for a half hour, needles to say,i just recieved a pioneer premier deh-490 ib from ups friday :happy055:
