JeremyC wrote:Geo how would you know what a drug trip feels like?
I'm telling you, the only reason I've never had the curiousity to try drugs is because I hung out with a rough crowd of skateboarding, punk rockin', partying, sex-finding troublemakers. One of my friends unfortunately shot his head off with a shotgun when he was high on something, LSD I think - several of them dropped out of high school, one of them built a cabin in the woods and lived like a hermit - while in high school - some great parties back there back then I tell you...

I have more than enough vicarious drug experience to not only not be curious about it, but to know better. :D

I tried a few small things, nothing major.
I told myself I wouldn't do anything major when I saw a guy break every bone in his arms trying to go through a basement wall. We were all smoking weed at some random persons house...he came into the basement all jacked up on pcp or something nuts. We were all laughing at him because he was talking to the wall when he just went NUTS and went to pounding on it. After the initial shock I was gonna go stop him when a friend of mine grabbed me and told me to leavem alone because if I was to touch him he probally would kill me. Anyways he sat there pounding on the wall for what felt like eternity untill he finally just started crying uncontrollably. I simply left after that and never went back...Scared the hell out of me, his arms looked like a steamroller had ran over them...Nasty!

Sobe No fear...
Opened the frigerator and believe it or not there was one of these in it
I was like SCORE!!!!

So I tried it of course...Its pretty darn good, the energy hasn't really kicked in but they never seem to "kick" in for me..just kinda stream in...but the taste is pretty darn good and considering my throat is all cutup from coughing its making it feel A LOT better.

I stack the N.O Xplode with NO2 and After work outs i drink a really big 960 calorie protein shake. At night i use my glutamine for speedy recoveries. Since i have started on N.O. Xplode I have put 20lbs on my bench and i am the leader in my weight class for Dead lift... No one that is under 200lbs can do 425 on a dead lift at my school, so im pretty happy with that. Also the NO2 really helps with my Vascularity as well as a much larger pump in the Gym. So when im doing my super sets for Bi's and Tri's im pushing hard and getting big

Hold up - caffeine HELPS migraines, you know that right?
Headache medicine is what - acetominophen.
Migraine medicine is (drum roll) - acetominophen plus caffeine. :teach
Oddly enough, I've found that Tylenol does nothing for headaches when I get them, and Tylenol Migraine works like a charm.
It has to do with something about Caffeine temporarily relaxing or widening the arteries or something like that. I'm not a doctor.
And I love energy drinks, but I've never noticed any effect from them (and I drink the big 16 ouncers) other than I simply feel - just alert and awake, like I should.
Oddly enough, I am almost caffeine sensitive with coffee - any more than one cup in a day, and I'm up until 2am. If I drink two in a row, my hands shake and I get anxious and stressed out for no reason.
When I drink energy drinks when I am tired though, I find myself simply restored - alert, awake, and most important - motivated to work!
I have heard of reviews where they just claim these things are just over-caffeinated sodas, but based on my experience, that ginseng or taurine or something must be working WITH the caffeine, because delivered in that form, for me, it does what it's supposed to.
But I've sure never had any reaction like what you had...
Are you sure you aren't allergic to one of the ingredients or something? What you describe sounds like a drug trip or something. :p

please see that link. caffeine is actually one of the foremost triggers for migraines and i know y you think it helps almost all over the counter migraine meds have caffeine in them right? the diffrence is over the counter meds treat the pain not the root cause and caffine is an aid to the pain meds. thats where im sure your idea comes from. i cant take any of the over the counters because of that. so i take normal tylenol and i take my axert which is prescribed for it.

Actually, it says "excessive caffeine - or caffeine withdrawal". ;)

Anything, if used in excess, can cause unpredictable problems. Too much vitamin C can be poisonous. ;)

I'm not going to argue that drinking a six-pack of large energy drinks like you were downing beers at a college bender, washing down handfulls of no-doz, wouldn't be a bad idea - or that other caffeine abuse couldn't even cause headaches, I'm sure it could cause paranoia, blindness, uncontrollable erections, atheletes foot, who knows. :D

Hell, I'm not even talking about the type of use like those people who have conditioned themselves to drink coffee all the time, through the day, always have the coffee... coffee coffee coffee..

But drinking an energy drink isn't going to cause headaches.

I read a study on caffeine somewhat recently, within the past year, that showed the health benefits of caffeine, for normal use levels. It was more than just headaches, it was surprising. And it's one reason that caffeine is used in migraine medicine. Like I said before, it has something to do with the fact that it actually relaxes or enlarges the blood vessels, releives cirulatory system tension, allows the blood to flow easier.

Quick google search:

http://www.fitwise.com/Benefits_Caffeine.asp
This one is interesting - note the comments on circulatory system, and oxygen delivery to the brain is what causes most headaches.

Also, note the comment on coffee specificaly - which may explain my surprise that coffee makes me jittery and unconfortable, while energy drinks actually help make me simply feel a state of alertness and motivation.

Here's an article from the same website (WebMD) that you linked me to:
http://www.webmd.com/content/Article/80/96454.htm
Just read the first paragraph: "...treat headaches".

And that's just the first two links from searching "health benefits" caffeine" in Google.
