Stupid Issues

The biggest part of bowling that I enjoy is spending time with my grown up kids (i'm not that good a bowler anyway). So now we'll just have to find something else to do with them.
And you're right, kids should not be around smoking.
My daughters house is smoke free 100% of the time even though she is a smoker, because of my grand daughter, so we all smoke outside or in the garage, and it's the same here at my own home when my grand daughter is here.

ok, a subject i can get behind......as my name implies, i love to smoke, i love tobacco in any shape or form, i love cigarettes, i love dip, i love me some beechnut wintergreen chaw, i love cigars, mmmmmmmmm....can you say backwoods smokes........i used to even carry a can of snuff with me, yea i used to snort it too.............my store is a smokers haven, but its a real shop, not a pristine clean suit and tie environment...when you come to my store you are accosted not only by the smell of gas and resin and bondo and paint but also by the diesel fuel in the torpedo heater and the sparks of the welder and cutting torches because i will do anything for a buck.......my shop is like 10 minutes from cincinnati and i will not do any shopping or eating over there anymore....why? WHY? WHY YOU ASK?!!!!!!!!!!! because i like to smoke when i do things.......now dont get me wrong, when you come to my shop you are also going to see a weight bench because even though i have smoked for 20 years i like to think im pretty healthy......im 6'1" go about 226 and can probably outrun most people my age either in short distances or long range, i can honestly do about 6 miles if i pace myself and use short bursts to stay loose, i used to do it 4 times a week, i dont care if you smoke or not, you dont have to and if were in your car or home and you dont smoke i wont even ask, but if were at my place and you dont like it, you had better be spending money if your gonna ask me to wait until you leave........i know some of you are gonna say thats unprofessional but this is KY and we grow the stuff here and unless its a cc or bb or wally world, all the small shops ive ever been in have ashtrays and the employees stand around smoking, you know what? no one cares..........all the best places in the world have those decades old ashtrays that stand about 3 ft. off the ground and have seen countless butts in their day, the kind your grandpa used to stub out his lucky strike in while he was buying car parts or when he met your grandma.......smoking is a very american custom and im a very traditional person.....i have a picture of me when i was about 3 and im with my grandpa who was a hell of a good man and one that i hope to be like one day, anyway he is lighting a cigarette in my mouth......yea, he used to let me get them lit for him and then give them back, he also taught me to tell time, taught me not to take any shit from anyone, told me its ok to nail a fat chic as long as you lie about it...(ok i made that last one up, its never ok to nail a fat chic and lie about it....) smoking is american, but i guess the country is not what it used to be either......

did u know that the first cigarette rolling machine was invented durring WW1 by an American? Smoker is right about smoking being American, but yea i do enjoy a good cigar, im not a big cigarette fan but yea the thing that i do like to do is sit around at a place and smoke a good cigar and be able to just chill drink a beer with my friends.

well i used to smoke and liked to smoke and dip but i quit both 3 months ago i feel better and have more money...but i dont think it is right what they did i think everyone should still have a choice this is america. choice and freedom is what were all about

true but the premise of the argument is that everyone is alowed to be free and enjoy their own freedoms just so long as it doesnt enfringe upon other peoples rights... so there-in lies the problem that most people are facing...

My grandpa was also a great man, in addition he was a lifetime smoker that died of lung cancer...which is why I don't smoke, the risk is not worth the reward IMHO.

Regardless of that, a state-wide ban on smoking is ridiculous. It should be up to businesses whether or not they will be smoke free, and then up to the consumer to decide whether or not to go to that business...

i skipped most of the thread.. but i don't smoke my sefl, and personally, i dislike smoking - why? waste of money, you're buying cancer and other stuff, and the smell is disgusting, on top of that, it affects everyon earound you, specially those that don't smoke.

I usually can tolerate it, but i can't stand the smell. alot of the times it gives me a headache. Now, in my opinion, quitting a bowling leauge (you're not going to like this) simply because you can't smoke is a DUMB reason. sorry for that, but its true. once again, in my opinoin, that's a sign of a redicioulous addiction. enough ripping you :P but in all fairness, i do disagree wwith a state-wide ban on smoking is a dumb idea. It the business owners should be able to choose. On the other hand, when i walk into a restuarant because a bunch of people are smoking on cancer sticks, and i get a headache and lung cancer from second hand smoke, that is kind of an infringement on my rights.

WOW, I guess I'll keep my comment short... I don't like smoke/smoking, I used to smoke like a freight train when I was playing pool, but I quit. I am now a "dipper" another gross habit that I will soon drop. BUT everyone should have the right to choose whether or not you can smoke in/around there place of business/rest. Thats all..

I can understand the displeasure...
