tuning for Kicker cvr's need some help!

Post by loudwagon15s »

hello, im trying to figure out what tuning i should set my 2 15'' kicker cvr's to which are in a 5.9 cu foot box, facing backwards about 10'' from my gate. I want them to get decently loud, as a compromise between a one hit wonder box, and a tuning that most music will sound good to for daily use. I'm thinkin of going with 4 3'' aero ports such as these...http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdet ... ab=15#Tabs Im kinda new to this, so i dont know if it matters, but for now im just powering them (sadly) with a legacy 1427 red series. In the future i plan on wireing them to 1 ohm and getting a 1,000rms class D, possibly a hifonics brutis. Help would be appreciated!! thanks,

Probably like 35hz. Maybe higher.
Bill or someone will respond shortly with a definitive answer, I'm sure :)

well subs up ports back would be your best but. and 4 4" aeros 2 per sub would be good. typical CRX style box.

i was thinking of doing that, but then it would be extemely easy to see my subs because i have no tint, would it still be ok to face the subs back, and ports up, or back

if you have to fire back you need to fire the ports back also firing the ports up or down will suck ass the best way is to fire subs up and ports back

well, i think i will just go with the sub up, and port back, and one last question, while i have everything torn apart putting in the ports, would it be worth while to put in a divider between the subs?
