Audiobank EQ line driver?

Post by an-eagalach »

Anybody ever hear of or own a product of this company? A few years ago I was sold an EQ line driver by an online outfit that is now out of business (anybody remember digitalwavez.com?). I have looked on the 'Net for info or reviews, but found nothing. I finally found Audiobank's website http://www.audiobankusa.com and although they have a rep in California, from their English they are definitely not from the U.S. -- Yoda speaks better English than they do. Example, word for word: "We will build more to fill the gap from from the reality to what you want." Cool that if you want something that is beyond reality, they can do it for you, but... And they have a section in the owner's manual called "Amusing Features." Huh?

It's a 13V balanced output, so it sounds like a knock off of Audiocontrol's THREE.1 or FOUR.1. Can anyone fill in the blanks on this? I'm about ready to finally stick it in my car and am really curious about performance.

Yep, the site (and their literature) is F'ing hilarious, fun to read, but after my laughter has died down, I'm wondering if their stuff actually works???

Am I the only person in the U.S. that owns one of their EQ's?

I suspected that might be the case. I e-mailed and asked them to point me to a written review -- some magazine or SOMEBODY must have reviewed their products if they've been in business for 10 years, as they say.

If not, then I guess I'll be first (and only?) review -- assuming that somebody somewhere wants to read it.

BTW, Justin, took your advice and pared down my profile, everything fits now.

Decent or Not?

Do These people actually make decent products, as far as eq's are concerned?
If their products are any thing like their English i want nothing to do with them. :)
