remove factory/stock sound dampening material?

I sound deadened everything (in my trunk) but the panel opposite the rear seats (direction subs will be firing). In back of my rear seats is sound deadened already (factory, pretty thick insulation I must say), should I or would there be any advantage to removing that? I figure I want all the sound waves to 'bounce' from my trunck into the cabin... I'm thinking I don't want any of the sound "absorbed" by the insulation/soundeadening stuff I am thinking of removing from behind the rear seats... what do you think? I may be approaching this completely wrong...

I have left all of the factory damping material alone. the insulation on the other hand, you might be able to pull some of that away, or displace it so it still does it's job, but leaves room for the full effect of the subs.

i spoke with the guy from raammat about my stock deadening and he said just deaden over it.
