The list definately has helped me and I really like it and use it often.

Audiobahn may be good in one persons ears but is horrible in another persons ears. I know a lot of cars in my "Trukin'" magazine have subs like audiobahn and MTX and stuff. Their cars are pimped out. Perhaps they are just not audophiles and would like any type of sub.

Man, you people sure do get bent outta shape over nothing.

Where did I say "I don't like your list." ? Right, I did'nt. What I did say was, to be careful of lists, period. All lists, not just this one here.

When I made my first post in the thread, I did'nt even realize this board had a list. I thought the poster was referring to a particular website with a rather silly list. My opinions stated in my post still stand, dealing with anyones list... take it for what its worth - free advice. Not the end-all, be-all of anything.
That list is coming from people who have plenty of experience withthe products. Glass has beendoing this for years and has seen / installed almost every brand on there. Me owning a shop, I have sold and installed most of the brands on there. I may not agree with a few of them, but I realize that my one good experience doesn't erase 10 people's bad experiences with the same company. That list was the colaboration of people with lots of experience in the field. You are easily seeing 80+ years of experience going into that list.
I have around 15yrs of experience myself. From retail sales, management level... and down to my own endless tinkering. I'm not here for a pissing contest over who has the most experience.
Sure, it may not be 100% accurate, but whena list is opinion based, it never will be.
And that was my point, from post number one in this thread.
Like Glass said again, feel free to write your own list, start your own message board, and post it all you want.
So I guess that means... "post here as long as your opinion coincides perfectly with ours, otherwise, get lost." Nice.

Just pick a forum, any forum, and search "Iraggi". Bad customer service, bad alts, endless delays... I'll pass.

Yeah, well... MTX is on the good list over here... so are you agreeing with me or arguing with me? You just made my point for me, thats for certain.

Koss has a warranty program unmatched in the headunit industry.
Koss Website wrote:This Koss product has a Lifetime Limited Warranty which covers normal use by the initial user or purchaser of this particular Koss product. Koss hereby warrants only to the initial user or purchaser that this Koss product will be free of any defect in materials and workmanship for the life of the product.
You don't see Pioneer or Alpine doing even close.

I guess that means you wouldn't "highly recommend" them either, huh?

No, it means don't continually start arguements over something that is an OPINION.

gonz, nobody has to gree with the list 100%, and I don't expect anybody to. You're welcome to disagree with it, and I expect most everybody on the internet has something they'd change if they had control over the thread. That's not a problem.
I think the problem has been in how you're presented yourself here. Poeple, myself included, are getting a lot of attitude conveyed from your posts, and it's abrasive. Unlike some of your other forums like CAF and SD, this forum has always been chartered as a place with a minimum of attitude and hostility, aimed more at the free exchange of information in a friendly environment. I've spent time on CAF, CD, CS, and other forums where it's 25% information and 75% mine is bigger than yours. That's prcisely what we've put an effort into avoiding, and I hope you understand.
You're selcome to disagree with the list. Nobody says you have to agree with any of it. You don't have to spend so much of your time bashing the work of others either, though. It was written, and is maintained, simply as a tool for people to use as they see fit, and like any tool, it can be used to your advantage, or it can be misused.
You'll also note that below the first list is a catagorized list that is maintained by the forum members such as yourself, and as such, you can always edit, or submit for update, changes to the catagorized list, which will differ from the inclusive list maintained by the admins. That was done just to avoid arguments like the one above.

Now in regards to Iraggi and Excessive, as I understand it, they had issues stemming from Katrina and related natural disasters that slowed down responses and product delivery for a period which had a number of impatient people upset. I've also seen a number of episodes where the purchaser had no clue what he was doing, bought the wrong alternator, or installed it improperly, or just didn't set up a good charging system at all, then blamed everybody but himself for the failure in the end result. These are always issues to contend with, and things to be wary of as anyone with experience in this industy will tell you. gonz, justin, john, geo, myself, and others included. No matter how good a product may be, there's always someone out there who will buy the wrong product, or expect things from what they buy that they shouldn't because they didn't do their research before spending.

peace
