subwoofer selection special

Post by sonso_chi »

I'm being wishy washy, I know, but considering I'm going to invest upwards of $350 I've reconsidered

2 12" new kicker compVX versus 2 12" Diamond Audio D6 in a sealed enclosure

http://cgi.ebay.com/DIAMOND-AUDIO-D612D ... dZViewItem

I see that the D6's are readily available on eBay (usually a bad sign) though these subs seem to be highly regarded

as always.... any and all input is greatly appreciated

This is just me, but when I do get my sub it will be a 12W6V2 and I am most likely going to build the box.

I dont have experience with either...but i'd go with the Diamond. I havent had good luck w. kicker subs in the past.

For $350 You could get a 15" D9/TDX, that would kick some major ass!!

for the money I'd go with one better sub instead of two lesser models.

agreed with glass, one quality sub is better than 2 cheaper subs. unless you just want a boom car, then just get what you want.

omg that sub listing on ebay for the kicker says its the best sub kicker has made!! NOT! the original solo's probably are better than any sub they have now, other than power handling!

edit: man i sure like my new avatar!!!

more specifically: what he is looking for->

If you believe there is a such thing as SQL that is what I seek. I want to be able to get loud when I'm in the mood, but I don't feel that means the subs have to sound like crap. I once owned 2 JL 12w6v2s but I don't want to spend that much now.

Due to limited space and SQ(L) desire in addition to lack of tool-time, it'll be a sealed prefab enclosure...
