Well...

You might wanna first do an aftermarket HU, build a good front stage, and an amp.

You can always add the sub(s) on later, or do them at the same time depending on how much you spend on the rest of the stuff.

Some good HU's are JVC, Pioneer, Alpine.
For a good front stage, look into a component set. CDT, JL, MB Quart.
Subs you could go with RE Audio, Elevation Audio, Diamond, Image Dynamics.

Thats just naming a few brands...there is a lot out there. Do you want it loud, or do you want it to sound good? Both?

What is your budget?

If you are lookin for a budget sub that sounds good, look at the RE Audio RE series sub. (http://www.reaudio.com). i think $57 for an 8", $67 for a 10", and $77 for a 12".

Depending on budget and space, you could run either 1 or 2.

Head unit, i recommend Pioneer Premier. Ive always had good luck with them. This is a good deal: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6309.html

As for component speakers, sonic electronix is having an awesome deal on ARC Audio's right now: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6285.html

As for an amp, well, you should pick that later depending on your application. A 3 or 4 channel may be best, or running 2 different amps may fit better.

Hope that gets the ball rolling for ya.

Keep in mind, that is all budget equipment, but dont let the price fool you into thinking its crappy. There is better stuff out there, but it comes with a higher price.
