Midbasss questions

I wanted to go for a set up with better midbass, so i was wondering, if i was going to run a set of 8" or 6.5" woofers in my back dash, what would i use for a crossover setting? Lowpass and tune it high or fullpass?or do you have any other suggestions, possibly what are some possible woofers to run a midbass, would a 8" RE work?

you use 8" midbass drivers, not 8" woofers or subs, for midbass purposes, and cross them over from about 500Hz down to 50Hz if they're in the front stage.
If you're putting them in the back, I'd aim more for an octave lower for the LPF, and say 250-50Hz.
use an 18dB slope for the filters, and set your midrange HPF at 12dB slope, an octave above the midbass driver's LPF, so you have an octave gap that's covered by roll off.

okay thanks glasswolf, but what would be a good mid range driver? doesn't have to be an 8"....im open for anny suggestions

midRANGE? you can use any component set you like for midrange/tweeter combinations. bravox, elevation, focal, DLS, SEAS, whatever.

if you really want a 3-way front stage though, just buy one instead of trying to mix and match speakers. Plenty of good 3-way systems already out there with a midbass/midrange/tweeter and crossover all ready to go into the car.
