2000@1 ohm 1000@2 ohm

Post by phthisis »

I am looking for a decent brand amplifier that does around 2000 watts rms @ 1 ohm and around 1000 watts rms @ 2 ohms. Does anybody have any suggestions? The only amps I have really considered are the Hifonics Brutus BX2005 or BX2006. Are these amps any good? Are they slightly overrated? I am just looking for decent brands that can be found cheap. 600 dollars or less that is.

ya they are pretty decent especially for the money. they will do the power or just about all the power they rate them for.

the xx series of amps are far supeior to the zeus or the burtus in that they have super class d technology which makes them about 10-15% more efficent than other class d's also look into autotek they are extremely well built amplfiers and are very efficent and clean they have a .1% thd as compared to other class ds with 1% thd. there a bit more expensive but well worth the money in my opinion

I would look at BWCAD1's Autotek if you need an amp with balls. Bill is a great guy and if I needed anything, he is one of the first I would call.
