nice/fast/powerful car for 30-45,000$?

Show me the scientifically controlled dyno charts, and I may believe it.

Then again... they showed on TV that the Tornado Air gas thingy can boost your horsepower by 20 HP... so who knows... anything is possible. Hah!

Id get a cheaper firebird or trans am and drop a crate 350 from edlebrock in it. I saw ones oneline for like 7k that had 400+ hp and 375 torque. That saves you money to do other stuff to the car

yup id definately rather have a muscle car then new cars, unless its like a Viper or something.

I would rather have something known for "muscle" than something with a smaller engine that still goes fast like an eclipse or something along those lines.

i just love trans ams and firebirds, either that or an old lincoln with the fins in the back, or maybe a new hummer, but it would have to be 4wd (not sure if they are) with 44s :)

wait can hummers even fit 44s? do they even have 44s? I forget lol

yeah they make 44"s and yeah you can fit em, id MUCH MUCH rather have an H1 than a pansy a$$ H2... couple of trucks here with 44" Super Swampers.. pretty awesome, my friend has an Eclipse here, turbo charges...etc.... like $10,000 in the engine, wants $10,500 for it. he already has a Chevelle and a.... 91 or so reg cab Silverado lowered with a 400small black and a ported bed with four JL W3's powered by a big PPI amp, very clean install.

in regards to the CAI, you're not going to gain squat, and will most likely lose HP unless you do at least two other things in addition to adding the CAI.
1: replace the exhaust with one with just the proper amount of back-pressure, and
2:
reprogram the ECM to alter the fuel/air mix for the change in air flow.
that is, in regards to modern computer controlled fuel injected small engines and such like most people try to tune up.
After those three mods together, you may gain up to about 20 or so horses at the most.
you'll improve fuel economy by maybe 10%, and increase strip times by a very small amount.

This is one reason I love my carb'ed big block. I could add a forced induction setup like ram-air via a snorkle, and all I have to do is tweak the carb with a screw driver, and I can add horsepower lol total cost is hardly anything.

my car has a 4.150" crank now, and 8.09L of displacement :)
