Ok well for starters, I drive a 00 Mustang Coupe. I want to order a 10" XXX and run it off a JBL 600.1. I'm just not so sure about the space of the trunk and such, I want to box to be ported but that needs a good width. And I was wondering if anyoner has ever built a box of good size for a mustang before? I had a problem fitting my PPI 12s in the trunk, I had to make 2 seperate boxes. I was dissapointed because of it too.

Cliff notes:

Will an XXX10 fit nicely into a 00 Mustang?
Will an XXX hit lows produced by groups like Three Six Mafia?
Will it run nice off of a JBL600.1 or a RF551s(power)?

You shouldn't have any major issues.

Yup, I can attest! (Except that I own a Brahma and not a XXX, but the Brahma is essentially a sister sub)

what kind of box are they in? what subs are they? do you have any filters on by chance/accident? i believe the lows in that song are very very low

My amp is set for Low Pass, the boxes are pure trash because its hard to fit them back there, I had nothing really to work with, Ive made some boxes before but It seemed they wouldn't fit because I only have like 13 inches tall to work with and they are 12.5 total diameter of the sub so it was alittle hard. I just want a 10 so I can atleast fit it back there and have a decent box.

A single 10" XXX will have enough output for the person that wants a decent amount of bump in the car.

besides car audio the other thing i know a lot about is that triple 6, when you do get that xxx put in lil wytes "hoods run down" the beginning of the songs goes through some sweeps starting around 60hz down to 20hz i think, i CANT pick up the last 3 notes but i can pick up the first 3(the song was produced for spl competitions)and then check on "looking for da chewing" from when skinny pimp was with three 6, song has CRAZY bass.

xxx10 ported tuned to 28hz would be nice.....give it about 40-50 sq in of port.....run a bigger box than recommended because you will have alot less power than the xxx likes.....the brahma only shares some soft parts and xbl^2 technology with the xxx....the xxx has a totally different motor assembly which makes it like more power.....honestly with an amp that size i'd go with the brahma 10 instead....

^^^ oh wow i completly missed the whole 600rms part, yeah man that might not be enough for a xxx, it will get the BRAHMA to full excursion in a sealed box(forget wich size) but that dosent mean its the same for the xxx, yeah im not sure how power and boxes but i do think the bigger it is the less power it will need.
