Choosing The Right Subwoofer

Post by audiocr381ve »

Hello Gentlemen

I've been searching for 8" subwoofers for awhile now. I need you guys to help me out and list some 8" subs that would work.

They have to have less then a 5" mounting depth. Around 250-350 wRMS. And be 8 inches! I can't for the live of me find the right ones. I love the JLw3v2 8's but I can't find a pair anywhere. I was gonna run 4 Rockford Fosgate P18S4's. I mean, their 60 bucks a piece heh.

I want something high end though. If someone could post links of a company selling good stuff. I checked Elevation, but they don't sell 8's !!! AHHH. Help me and list some. Remember 5" mounting depth is all I have to work with. I want to run 2 subs.

Image Dynamics ID 8" is a good one that fits your requirements, doesn't cost too much either.

Well, I'll go ahead and say it. RE audio 8's :) They take 175rms, so under what you want. How many do you want to run anyway. I think they have a 4 1/2 mounting depth. But they have a vent hole, so allow for an inch of clearance.
4 Rockford Fosgate P18S4's. I mean, their 60 bucks a piece heh.

Four RE8's would whoop upon those. And they are about the same price.

Are you serious? The RE 8's I listed? Their like 60 bucks new lol. I don't trust a sub that cheap. I want to spend $300 on some 8's. I'd love the JL audio w3v2 8's. What should I do!?!?!?
