New Car audio show on discovery ch.
New Car audio show on discovery ch.
Cabe Sipes, (instaled at the only BB w/a Custom install bay) Moved to Cali, and now works for the people that own/created the show Monster Gerage. Now get this, Cabe is going to have his own car audio related show (by said producers), from what I gathered it'll be a bit like Uniqe Whips. I went to school w/Cabe for 3 yrs in Rossville, IN and have alwasy considered him a freind as would he about me though not the best or closest of friends, now I'm envyous. But anyway, Good luck to you Cabe and don't forget us little people. From what I was told, the show will premier on the Discovery channel in Aug. this year.
i ca't find any info on it.. i hope your right.
And Jonathan, i doubt they actually install that stuff in customer cars.. remeber, MTV controlls Pimp My Ride, not West Coast Customs. No doubt MTV supplys the budget and gets the companys to throw free shit in, and then in return MTV makes WCC butter the viewers up by giving all sorts of useless facts..

they install big jobs for big money clientelle, and i doubt they want the people complaining (but then again, xibit does have a complete audiobahn setup in his truck)
. but i agree, i would rather view a program w/quality installs utilizing quality equipment. get away from the import trend of highend show installs with whatever brands the shop receives commissions for that month.

I'd rather view a show with quality equipment and installs, but again.. i doubt WCC has any control over the brands they can use.

thats what i said. i agree w/you. i'm saying that they were doing installs before the show, and i'm sure they have a say in those installs outside of pmr.Darthness wrote:I'd rather view a show with quality equipment and installs, but again.. i doubt WCC has any control over the brands they can use.
xibit probably just doesn't know any better than to get audiobum equipment.

i have to say, they did do a good job on his hummer.
I wasn't referring to WCC, I was solely referring to the TV show. WCC uses respectable equipment. Pimp My Ride is low budget to begin with, just look at the cars they work on. I can't see the excitement in slapping a body kit and some rims on some worn out Hyundai that can eliminate a generation of mosquitoes with it's exhaust fumes.

Amen. Simplicity=elegance. My favorite installs are those that are stealthy.

indeeed.. i like installs that arent necissarly stealthy, but don't stand out.. everythigns clean, wires arent hanging all over the place, the amount of room left in the trunk is almost stock... namely, involving fiber glass work (ie, subs mounted in the wheelwells and such, or the elevation install justin had in his saturn... i think it was elevation...Jonathan wrote:I wasn't referring to WCC, I was solely referring to the TV show.
