Clutch problems(throwout bearing)

hey guys i posted this on evolutionm.net but i was hoping maybe some of you guys might know a thing or two about my situation. my car is a 2002 mitsubishi lancer oz rally. four months ago my clutch went out so i bought an ACT clutch to replace it. it was running great for about a week after the new clutch had been installed, but then the car took a shit on me. my throwout bearing broke so i replaced. it ran good for about 4 months. then this past friday same thing happened. my throwout bearing broke again. anyone know what the problem may be?

I would inspect the clutch fork. I would also make sure you're installing the throw out bearing correctly? Are you using the throw out bearing that came with the clutch kit? Is it just squeaking or did it literally break (to where it won't disengage the clutch?)

what exactly is the clutch fork? and my act clutch kit didnt come with a throwout bearing, and it broke to where it wont disengage the clutch.

Its the arm that holds the Throw Out Bearing.

Are you sure it's not the slave cylinder that's causing the problem? That's what it sounds like to me!

ima take some pictures today and post them, cuz honestly im not even sure its the throwout bearing that keeps getting broken.

ok it is the clutch slave cylinder that keeps getting messed up its not the throwout bearing. so whats the problem mobile?

Are you loosing any clutch fluid?

It could be the clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, or a line.

My guess is probably the slave cylinder.

sorry for the delay mobile, but ive been busy with school. it is the clutch slave cylinder but why does it keep breaking down? when the mechanic took out the clutch, he saw that there was clutch/brake fluid all over my act clutch. could it be that the clutch slave cylinders i keep getting are defective? could it be that the wrong clutch/brake fluid was used? dot 4 instead of dot 3???

the first time the slave cylinder went out, there was clutch/brake fluid on the ground. the second time it happened (it happened to my dad while he was driving) he said he saw no fluid.

If the clutch is super stiff maybe the stock slave cylinder can't hack it?

I'm not real into the imports so I'm not real sure of the set up...

A few years back I bought a fuel pump from napa for an s10, lasted about 20 mins... took it back and got another one, it was bad out of the box. When I took it back they said they had gotten a bad batch and replaced it with another brand... So yeah, it can happen.

Like I said though, I'm not sure how everything is set up on those cars, maybe pm cargodz, I think he's into the imports. I'm not sure how often he checks in though...
