a/d/s no longer?

Post by CaptainPioneer »

So i have heard from this guy who i personally dont like that a/d/s as a whole ( meaning the home audio and Car audio) is now no longer under the same management. This deeply disturbs me because i have a 6 ch amp from them which i would like to use but needs a new wire for the imput. Do any of you pros out there forsee this being a problem and possibly seeing a downgrade in the quality of a/d/s products, seeing that they were so great b4?

They have been owned by DEI Directed Electronic Inc for some time now...

Bad. Look what has happened to Orion since they have been taken over, and Directed Audio is mediocre at best.

a/d/s was bought out by ADST some years ago and then subsequently bought by DEI. Directed isn't doing too badly with them now, but it's arguable if they are on par with what they were in the days of the old PQ series amplifiers of the early 1990s.
I know one of the higher ups at DEI, and from everything I hear, they are doing a lot to improve their image from what was left of companies like Orion and a/d/s, PPI, etc by their initial buyouts by ADST and Phaze Audio, who essentially destroyed the companies' reputations. DEI isn't that bad really.
