Amp Fried?

After the Car accident, I looked in my trunk and everything was all out of place. My subs and amp were not mounted(don't chew my head off). Anyway, the ground wire bolted to the Chasis was disconnected, and the battery was still intact. Didn't disconnect it until the horn mysteriously started going off.

I haven't got a chance to test it my amp seeing as how my car is gone.
Is my amp fried possibly?

Doubtful. If the ground wire came loose, the amp simply wouldn't power up.

Yeah, I agree with Justin. The ground wire coming loose would have no negative effect on the amplifier.

Then suppose it did fry, how would that happen?
How does an amp fry when you hook it up?

A couple ways you can mess it up when hooking it up, by either touching a live power wire to the case. Or if the amp is running, and you short the speaker wires together.

live power was going to the amp when the ground came loose. Its fine though huh?

LOL ah man i can picture driving down the street and the horn going off and NOT stoping.
