Which amp would you want?

I am looking for a mono amp pushing out about 500-750w RMS. Which of these do you think is the better deal?

SOUNDSTREAM XTA600.2 $150

JBL GTO601.1 $200

MTX THUNDER 421D $150

...or something else in the $200 price range

I saw that amp yesterday, but I don't like to buy refurbished stuff. Thanks though.

why not? All a refurb is is an amp that was fixed by the factory and performs "as new"....plus its even got a warrenty

A refurb means it is brought back to brand new. Whatever was wrong with it is fixed. I see no problem with buying refurbs, especially at a great price.

I guess I have just had bad luck, I have bought tons of stuff on the internet and the one refurb I bought crapped out 2 days after the warranty was up. Maybe it was just bad luck though. About those amps though, why do you like the Xtant over the Soundstream with an equal claimed wattage output?

The Xtant is leaps and bounds ahead of the other amps in quality. Current Soundstream stuff is very disappointing. I would definately choose a refurbished Xtant over the other three amps.

Just because it produces the same power doesn't mean it's as good. The quality and craftmanship of the Xtant is way beyond the others.

Well, this post has made me think a little. I've been planning on buying the JBL 600.1 for 150ish on sounddomain.com (refurbished). Is that xtant an all around better amp than the JBL? Also does the xtant have a subsonic filter?..I know the JBL doesn't.
