Hifonics

Post by jgs07 »

As i was browsing through FI's forum i noticed that a lot of the members kept saying that hifonics amps are not good. over and over i saw that they said they are overrated and do not last very long. i was just wondering about this becuz i just bought a hifonics amd and i am wondering if i made a mistake in purchasing this amp.

Most complain about Hifonics because they can... It's kinda like a Chevy guy and a Ford guy talking... One will always bash the other. Hifonics amps are used everyday with no problem like any other amp, but a lot like to bash them as well when they buy on ebay or from an online retailer that are unauthorized... They push them to hard (putting heavier loads on them than what they're rated at just cause they heard someone else did it), that or play with the gains like they're volume controls... Then they get ticked when they can't get the amp(s) replaced or fixed cause they went the cheap route to begin with.

Do some searching all over the forum ive defended hifonics for years. the problem is there is an anti hifonics back lash because of the previous company that owned them API. API bought the hifonics name from zed audio and started making really crappy amps. they were horribly overrated and the lack of quality was horrendous. The people you hear bitching and moaning heard this from a friend who heard this from a friend. I have personally tested Hifonics crunch and autotek amps. and Every single amp does rated power. The people over there at FI and SMD are bandwagon ball swingers. I can make any amp produce more than rated power or less than rated power by changing a few simple factors NOT INCLUDING LOAD. give me 3 1ohm stable amps and i will make each make more and each make less power than rated. Just remember half of what you see on other forums is bandwagon Bullshit.

go out to a dbdrag competition and look at all the amps. you will see hifonics autotek and crunch EVERYWHERE. there is a reason for that.

I've never owned a hifonics amp, but if Bill says they're good, they're good...

And for the price they are hard to beat....

I use to be a dealer and everyone I sold never broke. Knowing what the hell is going on when you hook one up helps a lot.
