thats wrong. i gave you the formula before did you use it?
Box rise is not just what the subs read when they are in the box. thats not impedance rise at all. impedance rise is what your impedance is while the subs are playing
Can someone post a diagram of how to wire 2 Dual voice coils to a strapped pair of these amps? The manual threw me off a little bit it has 4 wires coming from one dual voice coil sub, 2 pos. and 2 neg., one pos. and one neg. going to each amp. My subs are wired parallel and seperate, I have to D2 subs both wired parallel to a 1 ohm load. I only have 1 pos. and 1 neg. coming off of each sub though, since they are wired parallel in the box. How would I wire them to my strapped pair of amps? Would I wire 1 sub per amp, or would I wire both subs to both amps? If I wire both subs to both amps, one coil per amp, how would I wire them? The manual shows each amp getting 1 pos. and 1 neg. from 1 dual voice coil sub, I only have 1 pos. and 1 neg. to split between the amps. Would the master get the pos. and slave to neg. wires? Any help is appreciated.
um, simplify things greatly wire each sub to each amp at 1 ohm, gain match, use a y adapter, and walla, im sure bill will give you much more input on it though
NO. thats not how you strap amps at all. i dont have the time right now to post the proper way right now but i will soon ill get back here as soon as ai can
I told you to call mike steirs at maxxsonics he can tell you and give you a diagram of exactly how to do it. he knows the amps best and can set you up?
and i told you before run the amps unstrapped you get more power you just keep ignoring me and im wasting my breath it seems.
I am going to try to run them seperate but I only want to have to tune one amp, and I can not get in touch with him right now. Right now I only have one of them hooked up since the strapping confused me, but I am running it at .5 ohm, before rise, and it is taking it like a champ. Even in 80 degree plus weather the amp hardly gets warm. This one amp puts out just as much if not more than my strapped pair of US Amps MD3's. So far my experience with Hifonics has been very good, I do not see why people say they do not do rated power, it is doing every bit of it and with rise it is probably seeing over a 1 ohm load.
