Mid 90's computer game

Post by lotas »

So I had a dream the other night, and in the mystery of the amazing subconcious mind I had some vivid images come back to me of this old computer game. I remember playing it in the mid 90's...I would say around the same time as MechWarrior, Myst, Heretic (lol if anyone played heretic).

I think you are always in some sort of vessel/ship the whole time, and there's a lot of visual stimuli in the game, a lot of colorful "orbs" and things like that. Anyways I've been looking at endless alphabetical lists of computer games hoping the name will just pop out at me.

I don't expect you guys to actually have an idea with what info. I've provided ha, but who knows, if it came to me in a dream maybe one of you is destined to tell me the name of the game!!! dun dun dun

Ha, I knew exactly what you were talking about. Heretic was kinda dumb IMO.

Damn thats crazy! I haven't managed to successfully play it yet...I've dl'ed a few different versions but I dunno what the deal is, it's like the game's on crack. It's sped up, like the game speed is x150 or something, and its happened on every dl I've run. but the internet is an endless resource so ill keep searchin

Heretic was fun. That was an old game, so they might not have put a speed cap on it to make framerate independent of game speed. I was running it on a 66MHz Intel 486 machine when I was playing it :)

lol I just realized I was thinking of another game when thinking of Heretic. Nvm, that was kinda cool. I preferred Doom 1 and 2, Duke Nukem 3d, and The Shaddow Warrior though :)

Me and my brother bought the software for level editing in Doom 1/2 and were always building levels to play haha.

I did a little of that, but I made some really dumb levels lol. Do you remember D! Zone hahaha. It had like 900 levels on a cd for Doom.
