Never seen this before?

Post by Big Mo »

:help: I have a pair of RF 6x9's in the rear deck, their connected to a Kicker amp. I noticed a weird crackle today from the left speaker. I opened the trunk to take a look and noticed a small arc from one of the connectors on the speaker. I've had alot of cars and alot of systems over the years and I as well as no one that I know has ever had this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure what you mean by "a small arc", but if you can get a pic, that would help.

I would go over all your wiring and also make sure that the speaker leads are not touching any car metal. I would disconnect everything and reconnect it just to be sure.

I mean a small electrical discharge. I will do as you say in the mourning, hope that fixes the problem.
