and make sure gain is set properly and try other line level.. bad RCA grounding perhaps

I would keep the factory speakers and buy a enclosure,powered or non powered. But with a amp to push the sub. Stock car speakers are decent nowadays. You can always update down the road if it's not the sound you are looking for.

As long as the RCA's are 100% oxygen free copper and twisted ( for noise cance

Can't beat BRAX amps.. not often do you see a THD of .0009% and .001%.. I figured you would go with a SPXL 12 HELIX sub. And a HELIX processor They are BRAX's sister equipment. They are truly some of the highest end of high end sound equipment.. Good luck on the build and look forward to the photos....
