Amplifier output?

Hello Everyone & Anyone who can help, My subwoofer stopped working. My amp is still on but no output to the sub. Do I check the amp's speaker output connectors (screws) with a multimeter? Am I looking for current or voltage? OR do I check the Line Out (RCAs)? Thanks for ANY and All help. EvileyeJ
