I still get pretty bad dimming, so I'm going to throw a Deka Intimidator in the back for the sub amp.

Bwcad1 wrote:how many amps is your alt? and u just burping or daily driving?

200a for a 2000 Altima, was as big as he could go. Not worth a crap at idle, but ok once you're moving. Car is a DD with around 2200watts total.

Im sponsored by ohio gen and excessive amperage. and both told me u should use 4ga. if you use greater the stud on the back of the alternator acts as a resistor and can melt. VERY interesting, thanks for sharing that. I run an EA alt and did the BIG 3 in 1/0 about 3-4 months ago, with no problems s...

I would "assume" they sell off all the "old" stuff to make way for the new versions. That's why I suggest calling to see what they have on hand and when the new models will be available.

I've had very good luck with JBL GTO's off of HU power. Look for a speaker with a very high dB efficiency rating.

Amped I'm VERY impressed with the Pioneer REV's, but never tried them off HU power only.

Hell, I have even heard that the Dayton series from Partsexpress.com is a decent sub. Look into those too. I believe they're a lot like the old Adire shiva/tempest. My first "real" sub was a 15" tempest in a 4^3 box @24Hz. Sounded amazing, got low, and was pretty darn loud. I still h...

Well we agree on caps, but I'm curious as to why you say the BIG 3 in 1/0 is bad for your alt?? Please explain as I've never heard anyone say that before, but I'm always willing to listen....

You near Chicago as I'd be glad to let you hear them? Search some other forums as you'll see LOTS of positive feedback on them. AA is only 45 minutes from me, so it was an impulse buy when I was picking up another set of poly mids. VERY good decision on my part as I'm quite impressed with the little...

Call AA and see when more poly mids will be available. I'm VERY happy with mine. Running them active 80-2500Hz. Plenty of presence and punch. I go out of my way to find songs with actual drums in them. Listened to Edgar Winter's - Frankenstein today at lunch time, decent drum solo about 1/2 way thro...
