ok so with this alpine setup ill be pushin 350W a sub. now ive been comparing this with a setup from JL around the same pricing with: JL Audio 500-1 amp running 2 JL Audio 10W3v3-4. (with this jl setup ill only be running 300W a sub i think) in your guys opinion which setup would u take for listenin...

05' chevy colorado. the big 3 being upgrading the alternator, battery and what??? for now ill see how they pound and sound b4 i do those upgrades, if it bumps enough im not gonna worry about it the cap might be all i need for now.

ok and just trying to understand what all the ratings mean. the rms on the sub is 50-500W and the peak is 1500w . im basing the amp on the Rms correct? what is the peak rating mean? when does it hit that wattage if it ever does? and judging the amp on the 2ohm load and the specs on the amp say RMS P...

o and i havn't bought the type R's yet but i plan on ordering from onlinecarstereo.com tomorrow and i kinda wanna keep it all alpine unless there are some other subs that are way better quality for the same price or a bit more...but i've read a lot about them and from what i get they are the best su...

ok so my initial setup was 2 10" SWR-1022D type R's with the alpine MRD M1005 amp powering them. now is it worth the extra $200 to upgrade the amp and get the Alpine PDX-1.1000?? if its gonna make a big difference then its a done deal seen as i got a little extra cash for xmas!! if its worth it...
