I build desktop PCs myself whenever possible......... but either I or my family have had 6 dells (2 laptops 4 desktops) from 1995-present. The only problem I ever had was with the newest one (the only one purchased recently), and their customer service shipped me a new motherboard free under warrant...

So you think the 2 Qs would be louder than the DD? Thats what I thought also but I wanted to make sure........

And I've already got a $350 offer on 9515.

System change?

I currently run a DD 9515 on an American Bass 3000 watt amp. I'm thinking of switching to a more SQ based system (the DD sounds great but they are not the best at hitting the lows below 40 hz or so). So, I'm looking into maybe 2 Fi Q 15"s, but I want the new system to at least be as loud as my ...

I have TrueRTA on my laptop. I use a Behringer EMC8000 mic and a Behringer UB802 mixer (just serves as a preamp for the mic) with it.

That equipment cost me a little over $100, so I'd say that's an ok deal.

That's a good idea and I though about it, but according to Bcae1 the test can't be done with speakers instead of resistors...... so I would still need a set of high power resistors (dummy load). I suppose I could try and do that, but it would be easier if I could just find someplace that does it. Of...

Yeah, I'm looking to get the actual output power tested. I guess I should have made that more clear...... I would think most shops would have like a 50 amp or so power supply just for testing if amps work, but I don't know if they would have the equipment needed to test how much power the amp is cap...

Where to get an amplifier bench tested

Anybody know, or had this done? I searched the forum and didn't find anything. I would imagine most shops don't have the massive DC power supply necessary to do this. I have searched online but found nothing. I'm thinking maybe one of those amp repair places may be able to do it? I would do it mysel...
