WOW...that is old school...i was 4 or 5 back then lol....speaking of the power 1000 rockford...has anyone ever had one? i saw one at my local shop...but never got to hear it?

maybe try and oldschool rockford a series amp....those will put out some good power in a ver compact size or maybe some even older rockfords, and you cna even find soem as cheap as 30 or 40 plus shipping on ebay

Try going to the JL Dealer who sold you the subs....if you give them the dimesnions of your trunk, they can call JL and JL will design a box that will comfortably fit your trunk and sound awsome! I have heard 3 set ups that JL has designed the enclosure for....all 3 were with 2 12" W6s all diff...

I wanted to go for a set up with better midbass, so i was wondering, if i was going to run a set of 8" or 6.5" woofers in my back dash, what would i use for a crossover setting? Lowpass and tune it high or fullpass?or do you have any other suggestions, possibly what are some possible woofe...

when building a ported box....how do you calculate the ideal port area for each sub...cause i've heard ported enclosers that sound like sh*t and then i have heard some that are superb. i was just wondering if there was an easy way besides asking the manufacterers to figure the port area..........
