that 401s does 100x2 at 4ohms... and should power a component set/speakers just fine.. and its possibly underrated like most of their older stuff... id keep it ifit works fine..

the other amp i would probably switch out, for a nice up to date mono amp..

which amp to keep

If this is in the wrong section, feel free to move it. I need some input.
I am going to redo my system, My amps are as follows punch 401s and punch 500a2, one of each. I am going to do a false floor and I want to have matching amps(mostly for cosmetic reasons, as I would be purchasing a punch link to connect them).
My ? is this which amp should I keep?. They are both in good shape.
The 401s is for my mids and the 500a2 is for the subs.

I would getting a mid amp or a sub amp of the appropiate series

Any ideas,
Tim
