She's got a job. She started her own business. The money just hasn't started flowing in yet. So there's been a bad pinch between the time she quit her job until probably next month some time. We've been living off my check since late last year. :(

Anyway, everything will work out sooner or later. I just have to be patient a little longer. By the time I get back from the stan, things should be pretty good. I just have to get through that. I get hazardous duty pay, family seperation pay, dislocation allowance, and I'll be in a tax free zone.

If I can sell the Jag before I leave, she can drive the eclipse or jeep until I get back. She doesn't like either one of my cars though.

I like the looks of the Vehicross too, but there is one major downfall to them... They can't tow anything... they have No tow rating what so ever and it is recommended against... At least the Murano is rated at a 3500lb load, not much, but better than not recommended at all...
And if ya can, see if you can get a used Murano of a lease... Nissan certified extends the warranty to 100K miles and you'll save a bundle over buying new... That's what we did with my daughters Sentra :)

Trade in value of the Jag looks to be around $8k. I should be able to get about $10k if I sell it outright. That vehicross is awesome, I think. My wife doesn't like it though. :( She's pretty much got her heart set on the Murano. She also had her heart set on the Jag two years ago. That's how that goes.

Well if you do decide to trade it in the Murano is a great choice... I say that from knowing 2 people with them and they love the hell out of em, that tied in with the fact that most Nissans are very reliable... My daughter has had her 98 Sentra for almost 6 years now and the worst problem she's had so far is that she had to have the wiper motor replaced... She's also driven it to Florida from Ohio 3 times and commutes 40-50 minutes everyday.

it seems any high end import will break your pocketout of warranty, hopefully ya get one that last like 250,000 like my frinds 98 benz with almost no repairs... good luck

I really want a vehicross, but there to damn expensive, eeven the older ones, plus I don't know much about there reliability. so for now its a 93 civic h/b. maybe 1 mid 90's blaer or jimmy soon, I loved my 94 explorer, for spl, I oved it 3 12's and 1200 watts aaaaahh memories.

That's how we keep feeling about this one. We love it when we're not having to fix it. When repairs come around, we curse the hell out of it and talk about selling it. Then we fix it and decide to hold out a while longer. Damn POS!

I used to have a 88 xj6. great car, super expensive for parts, even worse if you have to take it to a shop. but when its god it was a terriffic car.

by Robert Wollenberg » Sun Jun 17, 2007 12:01 pm

The reason I'm not selling it just yet is that when I do, I'll have to find something else to replace it for the wife, and she loves the damn thing. It's a 2000 S-type 3.0. I'm hoping the shop it's at can fix it without raping me. My plan is to pay it down a bit more, then sell it or trade it in. She says she likes the Nissan Murano (sp?) That crossover vehicle they've got. That's really my biggest problem, it has to be replaced. Unless ....
