I've had quie a few different pioneer subs over the years, on most I've usually done about 1.75-2ft3 tuned at 33-35 for a daily driver. My last was 3 premier 12's in 6ft3 tuned at about 34 off a jbl 1201.1 PLENTY loud...

Sub box help

by Battousai » Mon May 21, 2007 4:44 pm

Well I have the pioneer TSW241R subwoofer and I'm looking to build an enclosoure that will be loud.I'm not going to be competing or anything I just want to get the full potential out of these subs.I made a box on subwoofertools.com and i am wondering if this should be good enough.

http://www.subwoofertools.com/forum/ported-box.asp?Ew=48&Eh=14&Dia=4&Xmax=7.8&Vd=1.1&NumW=2&Vb=2.2&Fb=34&Qts=.68&Vas=2.045&Fs=28&CE=1.5

Right now 1 have prefab box that the wofers are in now and a bazooka 6oo watt max amp wired in series because he amp cant see 2 ohms stable.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

ps i am aslo wondering what freq i should have it at.This i just a street loud car i am building.

My EBP is 38. so i'm guessing it is better for a sealed enclosure?
