well as for now, i went to the Soundstream dealer and they are no help there... Dont know anything about their products... Anyway... so what i am doing right now just for my buddy so he can have a lil base is he is using my Old Audiobahn AWT610 in the 1.7cuft ported box. it actually sounds pretty damn good in there almost as nice as the Soundstream did... Doesnt have anywhere the excursion though :( Oh well... It was a VC Misalignment thouh so hopefully It can be returned and a new one should come for me...

oh yea... thats true... I insured the Type R as well, but I definitely kept the original box and everything that you sent me. I have it all up at school, im just hoping no one at my house touched it... Probably not, they are all a lil scared of me any way lol hehehe

well you could always do it yourself and if you "mess up" still send it to the shop, and on insurance im not sure i mean the lady asked me the value and i told her $200, but im not sure how that works..

Wel i just did a lil research and low and behold, i saw on Ecoustics that Fishy and Jonathan from our forum here have helped another wayward sole in the same predicament that i am in... Aparently I can have a shop fix this, or if i am feeling really skippy i can remove the dust cap and realign the vc myself... I prefer to not do that seeing as i have never done that anyway and dont really intend to start... Any seconds on this?

my fi's did that sounded fine but made that slapping sound

by CaptainPioneer » Sun Apr 08, 2007 6:03 pm

yea its got a small scuff on the basket... But he's right, it was packaged just as good if not better than the sub i sent out. I mean its wierd the sub actually sounds fine its just that tapping that is bad thats all... Ive tried everything... Im thinking i might just seal the box up cause when i stuck my arm in the port I really couldnt hear the clicking all too bad...

by Bwcad1 » Sun Apr 08, 2007 5:29 pm

yea subs get F'd in shipping all the time. on hit smack or whack and the vc is knocked out of alingment and the sub is toast. i had 2 fi's do that.

by Ryan from Ohio » Sun Apr 08, 2007 5:16 pm

Thats always possible.

The magnet could of got jolted in transit just enough it rubs on the VC...

Insurance I hope? Also I hope you have the packaging you received it in.

i sold him the sub, and i had No problems like this whenever i had it, and i packaged the sub Very well.. take it out and see if there are any dents or something along them lines on it, the only thing that was wrong with it when i sent it was some scratches on the magnet, if the vc is out of allignment then ups must have dropped it or something.
