how can i make 6" midbasses fit in the 6x9?
I'd personally make baffles out of MDF because it'll be less resonant than plastic. Just figure out what size you need the MDF baffle to be in order to bolt onto the door panel and then cut a circle out in the middle of the MDF. Mount the 6 1/2"er in there. Then try a couple different locations for tweeters to see where they sound best and mount them there.

True... You could go without entirely and probably wouldn't even notice :)

actually with a $5 sheet of thin abs you could cut a adapter plate to fit in no time, problem solved. the difference between coaxials and components is amazing. I had to do the same thing, make aq trim plate for 5.25 to 6.5. easy

You'd definately do better with the Arcs from Ryan... far superior ;)

As for the back... why not look into putting 6" midbass back there as replacement for the 6x9"s?

but i still cant find any midranges that are 6x9. if anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

by SACHEL » Thu Apr 12, 2007 3:30 pm

ive had trouble finding midranges to put in the back. i cant find any that are 6x9's if anyone knows of any decent ones for under $200 please post

and the peerless speaker link, would the 6" be able to fit 6 3/4"?

by SACHEL » Thu Feb 22, 2007 3:23 pm

alright, because at this point i am satisfied with the amount of bass with my diamond 12" d6. i was just trying to find some speakers that arent necessarily made for bass, but some that are loud enough to be heard over the bass.

sorry about that postin problem, somethin was wrong earlier with the server and it kept freezing and i didnt think that it posted.
