Well Im affraid your going to need that one harness.

The alero doesnt have a 12V switching, the harness deal incorporates that feature.

Also some stereos wont fit in correctly because of the plastic behind the radio. Make sure to have a dremel tool with a cut off disc and a 1/2" sanding drum available...

The plastic means nothing. I had to damn near hack mine all out to get my McIntosh to fit!

i just ordered a pio.premier 490ib,and the visonik bass package with 2 10's,box,amp,and wiring kit from sonic electronix for my sis, wouldn't have ordered visonik for myself YUCK!,but she didn't want to spend more than $300 total...anyway,my question is this...i'm going to replace the factory hu with the pio, obviously.i'm told that i have to have a $70 harness to put this hu in,and i also found some sort of t-harness to relocate the factory hu,and retain all of it's extra functions...do i realy need this,or can i just go to wally world and gwt a harness?any help would be wonderful...oh yeah,it's an '03 alero
