Two batteries in series ends up in adding the voltage together. Two batteries in parallel keeps the voltage the same, but spreads the load across both batteries.

yeah i know... just throwing out what little bit of knowledge i have..

i dont know much about electrical stuff, and when i first started working in the mine i rana service truck, and they basically told em everythgin really basic just call for help if u dont know something. so i got a call to jumpstart a haul truck (90 ton dump truck) and i figured ok no big deal, and i climbed up there to jump start it and saw that and was like uhhhhh wow what is going on up here?

thats wiring in a series...or someting... i'm talking about cuasing sparks and fires with amps...

[quote="Darthness"]yeah, and if you want to strap your amps hook the negative of one to the positive of the other, then ground on one side and run the other amp to the battery

believe it or not thats the short and sweet explination of how to set up a 24 volt system. if u have acces to construction equipment, go pop the lid on a dozer and look at the batteries, 2 12 volt batteries wired together, power wire runs to the elctrical componants, ground runs to the positive post on the second battery, then the ground on the second battery is your ground wire.

yeah, and if you want to strap your amps hook the negative of one to the positive of the other, then ground on one side and run the other amp to the battery, with no fuse.

the only stupid questions are the ones that are not asked..

on that note, my amps not working lately

it might be a wiring problem
