You really should have the motor to chassis ground seperate... it's not that you'll blow anything up, but this only grounds the battery to the chassis and the motor... He's done most of the work for ya, just take the terminal ring off and put on new ones at the end of the wires, then hook it all up... just make sure you find a good chassis ground... in case he didn't... if he did, they can both be grounded at that point if the motor to chassis will reach... otherwise just find another place to ground it on the chassis that's closer :)

Apologies for another one of these questions. I did read the write up and understand what goes where for the most part, only the type of question I have isn't really answered. I searched high and low and haven't found an answer, either. Anyhow, today I went in to a local car audio shop and was explaining to the guy how I wanted some wire cut and crimped, only, I think he mis-understood what I said. What he did was he made the battery negative to chassis and engine to chassis wire one wire, with a split y-connection where the battery negative ring terminal is. The engine to chassis wire runs from the engine to the battery negative where there's a ring terminal that connects to the battery negative, and at this same ring terminal there's another wire that runs to the chassis. Is this okay, or do I need three separate wires? I don't want to inadvertantly blow something up after connecting everything. If the ground wire is kind of hard to imagine I can put a picture up.

As always, any help is appreciated.
