you wouldn't regret it...as of feb. 1st they are going up to $365 shipped with a 5 year warranty...i own a nine.1 and a pair of 13Ov2d4's,3.5cube enclosure, slot vented, tuned to 35hz...in my s-10 ext cab they would kick you in the chest on rock, and make you queezy with little john, and sound good doing it...can't wait to get them put into my '02 blazer that i just bought...this saturday's project :)

Why would you get flamed? I've been looking at a 1200x1@1ohm amp and thats one that has caught my eye a few times over.

i'm gonna' get flamed,but...refurbed eD nine.1,1200wrms@1ohm@12 volts,very solid,underrated amp,$250shipped...i got a buddy of mine a hifonics 600x1 last year,it was crap...but then again,that's usualy my luck...

I hooked up two Kicker KX600.1 amps to my lil' car, and the lights dont dim too badly on full wack,, and for normal listening it's fine. I don't care about listening with the engine off, the effort and funds I'd have to put in to listen with it off ain't worth it for me.
I have standard BIG 3, what gauge do you guys recommend, 1/0?? Could I get away with 4 gauge? How easy is it to do? Is it just a matter of locating the standard cables, replacing them and fitting bigger ring terminals??
...So anyway 1200wrms is my limit really. I do like the Hifonics bxi1206d, cheap price and Bill rates them better than the older Hifonics stuff. Autotek is too rare. So I'll wait for a decent bxi 2nd hand on eBay (cheapskate I am :P).
The big3 only needs to be done in 4gauge, dont worry about spending the money for 1/0. Basically, you just need to locate the wires and it should be hard. And when you do it, keep the factory wires in there and add the 4gauge.

And yes, these past few years of Hifonics stuff has been really good. Very reliable amps that will do their rated power.

good amp but dealer sales only contact terry or smoker for prices.

I looked on ebay and the MM1000.1 is sold by a few people there but indoaudio is the cheapest. With the crappy reviews indo gets is there anywhere else you can get this for 220ish?

Haha.... fugged is the right word right now!!

You are going need to invest in a more efficent amp so you dont stress your alternator that much!! I would have to suggest an Autotek MM1000.1 or an Elevation DX1000.1. The Elevation's arent on the site, so email the company for info on them.

And upgrading the big3 will be a must to get the most out for your stock charging system.
