I've got a 450/4 running my 61's. Though only at 75rms.

Because it sends the audio signal through the RCAs to the amplifier.

yeah i know not to hook up the front outputs at the hu, its just that i was reading up on how to set up amps and it mentioned something about setting the HPF and it said to use either the hu or the amps HPF, so I dont understand how the hu's HPF can control the fronts???

Use the amp only on the front speakers
Use the Head-Unit for "rear fill" you won't need to send that much to the rear speakers because the profile from the components will be so much better.

What you will do is just leave the front speaker wires on the HU disconnected. Do not try and hook them to the front speakers or double the wires for the rear you will end up damaging the head-unit.

No because you disconnect the factory speaker wire going to the front speakers.

ok thanks, one more thing, I have a panasonic CQ-C8803 hu which has 31W rms. I am planning on amping the front components and running the rears of the hu. Will the internal amps power of the hu be added onto the rms of the amp that is powering the comp's?(making 181W rms going to the comps) The hu has the option of turning the internal amp off, but I want all 31W to power the rears.
Hoope you know what i mean, if not let me know and I will try to explain better. :thumbsup

150 watts is fine. You really don't want to underpower or overpower, it is best to match RMS wattage.

That amp will work fine. If you are on a budget, it will get the job done. If you want to spend a few more bucks, you could do better.

2 or 4 channel just depends on how many speakers you are powering. If you choose to only run the front speakers, then a 2 channel is fine. Front and rear, then a 4 channel is needed.

I have just bought some EF-61CF components for the front and am currently looking for an amp.what do you think of this:

I am new to all this so I need all the advice I can get. I read that it is better to over power speakers than under power them. I think the speakers are rated at 140 rms so should i be looking at amps with a power output(RMS) of at least 150W??
one other thing is should i get a 2 or a 4 channel amp???
