I smell a civil suit.
hope things work out well.
just to be clear, the car that got hit wasn't the one you were working on at the time, right?
I can't see you on a creeper under a car on the freeway..

My thoughts are with you man. I was in a serious accident a few years back and it almost killed me so I know what you are going through. I am sorry to hear you can't make the finals but I understand that family takes precidence but If you sue you should through that into the lawsuit :P J/K anyway My thought with you and your family and if there is anything I can do even though we don't know each other very well I'm here I have been through and am still living with the back injury from my accident so I may be able to help with advice if need be just let me know.

Best of luck to your family Joe. From what it sounds, they will be just fine and that is excellent.

I think everyone's safest bet is to get 4/5 point harnesses.

Just to let you know depending on how bad the accident was, seatbelts can definitely cause cracked ribs, know from experience also airbags can be nasty to your face, cause concusions and stiches in my eyelid.

Jason, thanks for posting. Yes, the xrays were done on the older child because of her having pain breathing. My wife, son and the youngest girl didn't have xrays. They were all wearing seatbelts. I am just glad that my trailer took the brunt of the hit. Actually, I hope they total it, then I will have two trailers.

Thanks for the concerns, they will be in good hands, that I can promise you.

Joe

I will keep your family in my prayers also. I have been in 3 severe auto accidents, one not at fault when I was driving. Did they go in for X-Rays, I waited till the next morning after one and had 3 fractured vertabrae in lower back among other injuries. Definitely, the next morining thru about the third they will definitely feel worse than right after it happened. The night of the accident their adrenaline is pumping and they will not feel the pain that they are really in, but no matter what the severity you will definitely feel the aches and pains the next morning.

If they need Physical Therapy encourage them to stay with it. It will hurt like hell somedays, but the Physical Therapist know what they are doing so make sure they keep showing up to their appointments and doing the exercises. If their are no injuries that require Physcial Therapy and anyother treatment, and they are still sore give them some appointments with a Massage Therapist they can work wonders too. When I had the accident where I fractured my vertabrae I happened to be dating a Massage Therapist, she waited until I was cleared for Physical Therapy, 7.5 months and should have kept going after I moved, but she made me feel great after her massage treatment. Hope, my longwinded post can help some.

Joe, thats terrible news. Your family and friends will be in our prayers. Let this be a lesson to all, slow down, its not worth that extra spot. It always annoys me when people do that sort of thing, I am just glad to hear everyones ok. Let me know if I can help in any way Joe.
