Let me know how that industrial strength velcro does with holding the pod in place. When do you plan on doing this project? What crossover points/slopes are you planning on?

I was going to post that earlier, but I forgot. You should def look and see what is recommended. Also, I would do a search for whatever driver (Specifically if it's Seas, Peerless, or Dayton) you decide to run on diymobileaudio.com because a lot of those guys are running those raw drivers.

well then what i will do is first go with sealed and if it doesnt sound right... i will cut out the mold at the bottom... The cool thing with these molds is that they wont be fastend down to the floor via screws... Im going to make them removeable by using Industrial strength velcro all around the edges :) And i believe that i am going to just carpet over the fiberglass with some matching colors of the interior

I would just check what volume they should be in for at least a flat reponse.

Sealed

I would think that'll be enough room for cooling. You planning on running your pods sealed or IB?

Yea but my main concern is keeping my car nice and spacious while also giving that extra punch up front... i think that I will go with the 7" it fits perfectly within my power ratings and thats the orignial size i wantted to go with in the first place... plus its a bit cheaper... :) Now when i put these little buggers in a fiberglass pod how much space should i give it from the magnet to the bottom of the mold? I was thinking around an inch and since they will be angled appropriately i think there will be a bit more space underneath them as well?

Remember that it's midBASS so the amount of air that your speakers are moving is going to start to matter. So if you could fit an 8" for your midbass, the better.

could u see any problems going with a 6 or 7 inch? i was thinking the 6 inch maybe at least the 7 inch but I think the 8 inch might be a lil too big in the kick pannel
