Hmmm, I'm pretty sure my 9600mp has a power antenna wire. But I do think it is about time they start phasing them out. I mean, no new cars have power antennas anymore as mentioned above.

^^ lol i know. i haven't used the normal radio once since i got my sirius. between that, my cd's, and my mp3 player, i always have something different to listen to.

Maybe im missing something here, but every other HU I've owned had a seperate wire for the power antenae. My last 2 Eclipse headunits definitely did.

Then you'll probably have to hook the remote up to a manual switch. I can't think of any way (unless there are some kind of modules to do it) to know that the radio is on and not a CD and vice versa from the HU without a power antenna wire. Maybe you can find a mod online for your HU.
Or else get a new HU. lol

JeremyC wrote:Dude, just hook it to the remote wire. So what if it stays up when you play a cd.
Couple of reasons:

1. Im anal.
2. It looks ghey.
3. I'd like it to perform the way it's supposed to.
