have you?

Yes I have...I used the USD Waveguides in the past and as far as loud!!!ohhhh nelly, those things are LOUD!!!!

The center image was perfect, but only after about 12 hours of positioning. Tuning chalk up another 12 or so hours....but once tuned and positioned...Horns will really sing! But beware...they can be somewhat expensive. A good set of horns will set you back about 1500 bucks. But take into consideration that they will handle all midrange and tweeter frequencies, and would definately need some midbass drivers to round out the installation.

with four sets of components and that much power, your sub/s will be the ones having trouble keeping up.

so will you be hiding one of those zx650.4's , since only one will fit on your rack uner ur zx1500.1?

by Ampresearch » Sun Jul 30, 2006 2:37 pm

ok i have decided to run the following set up

2x zx650.4
4x polk sr6500's
I am going to run three sets in each door and one set in the kicks. I just got back from a local shop that has a polk demo car. i called and the guy happened to be there late working on it. this is the same set up he had and i REALLY liked it. he used diff amps but about the same power.

he did not use all the tweets but i think as long as i EQ it properly i can use them all and be ok. i know its more then i need by far but i think it will make my new door pods look really nice.
I hve some old school kicker sol 8 inchers that i am going to run instead of two of the 6 1/2's

Yeah I agree, drop one of the sets, and bridge the amp on the other. You won't have any cancelation, and you will get about another 3dbs out of the first set. If thats not enough, add another amp on a pair of 8s. I promise you will be happy with it.

You bridge the amp and try running it to just one set of components and see if you like that... It would be over powering them so you'd have to be careful but its worth a try...

jeremy is right. more power if they cant handle it get better comp set. more sets doenst equal loud.
