trust me, nobody really uses marine speakers for real set-ups in there boats... i may actually be able to fit components in my box so i might want to find out which 6.5" components to buy since everybody says it's useless with coax's and won't get louder then the kappa's. I currently have a PPI PCX-4125 for the kappa's and JL amps for the subs. Here are some links to some of our boats with systems in them. as you can see, there are no marine speakers anywhere. I

i wonder if there is any marine component sets? you wont find any "loud" speakers... none that will blare when you are speedin away on the water and sound good... you do not use regular car audio speakers in marine setups. thats why there is marine speakers.. do some research into marine component sets, im sure theres some out there... anyway your best bet if you want maximum performance, get a good 4 channel amp and power your speakers... the amp will be able to power 6 speakers(i think thats what you are gettin) just fine.. and ofcourse marine subwoofers will balance that out.

if you had kappa speakers and they werent loud enough i doubt other speakers will be as loud because the problem is not that there "quiet" its that you got all that noise from the boat.

Basicly a coaxial. But it uses a small bracket to hold s ingle tweeter. It also has a crossover like a comp set.

My pics are all too big too post... can't seem to get them small enough. anyways, no room for components but CDT braxials would be the way to go? I know nothing about braxials...

You have to scroll down when you reply to the "attach files" dialouge.

You need Componets ors Braxials.

CDT!

The problem is the box I have "custom fiberglass box made specifically for my boat tower" is for 6 6.5" coax's. I'd have to go with another big expensive box and that's going to work. Power is not an issue, I have the amps, I just need to find louder coax's (if they make them).

I tried to attach a pic to show the box but don't think it worked

There really isn't much highend coaxial speakers. You would have to look into components to find what you are looking for. Look into: Morel, Rainbow, Adire, Image Dynamics, Focal, JL Audio's XR line, CDT, Resonant Engineering, etc. If you buy an amp to go with them, you should have it as loud as you'd want.

My issue with Kappas are the lacking midbass. They did go pretty loud though, and sound good.

Agreed but nobody makes a high-end marine speaker. EVERYBODY uses high end car audio equipment for their boats. The speakers do not get wet where we put them. Just looking for some help on high-end loud 6.5 coax's if anybody has some advice.

Actually that is false.

They weatherproof marine speakers. You definetly do NOT want a pulp cone in said enviroment. You need aluminum or Poly cone.
