the type of box would depend more on the Qts and Fs of your subs, and your listening preferences as well as power delivery to the subs.
I've done ported boxes for two fifteens in a monte carlo SS (80s model with the 305) and it worked wonderfully.
I'd just look into venting that rear deck to couple the trunk's air to the cabin airspace. Then fire the ports right up through the vents.

Sounds like a bandpass box. What subs are you using and what amount of power?

I've never heard anything like that before..

Alright. As of now I have a ported box with plexiglass. It looks real nice but I am told that because my trunk is so deep (Mercury Grand Marquis aka "the boat") that I would be better served with a sealed box.

Does anyone want to help me out?
