They arent that great, but if you are looking for something that will give you bass and is easy to install/uninstall and you're only gonna be using it for a short period of time...then go for it.

Thanks for all the help guys....i think thats what ill end up doin then, is going with a tube...place by me sells Bazooka tubes....are they any good?

by Ryan from Ohio » Sat Jun 03, 2006 5:54 pm

Well why not just find a cheap little bass tube.

Look @ Big Lots or so. I think they have some for like $40 and can easily/cheaply be installed/uninstalled.

Well the thing is...right now the car is kinda on loan from the rents...(till i buy my truck next summer), so i really didnt want to go as far as to buying an amp and sub....I was hoping to get sufficient bass from the 6x9, which obviously isnt gunna happen with just a deck...My ultimate goal is more bass without the amp

by JeremyC » Sat Jun 03, 2006 4:48 pm

If you want a little bass, you could amp them, but you will be WAY better off with a sub, and a small amp for it.

Before you spend any more money, let us know what you want out of the stereo, and how much you would like to spend. We will steer you in the right directtion from there.

ok kool....thnx for the help guys....maybe ill just get a small amp to push em

by Ryan from Ohio » Sat Jun 03, 2006 2:49 pm

the bottom line: The deck doesnt have the power to push them.

Also the boxes they are in are to SMALL.

Im sorry but all them 6x9 boxes are about 3 times to small.

You WILL NOT get bass out of 6x9's in them small boxes, especially running off just a deck.

Sorry ;)

it didnt look like the speakers were moving....could it be sumthing to do with the magnets??

by Chris from MI » Sat Jun 03, 2006 1:32 pm

well the actual RMS power of that deck is about 19Wx4. So the speakers are definitly being under powered. This may be the reason there is no bass. Are the speakers moving at all? They may be working just not to full potential because of the lack of power.

and yes there wired to the deck, not throuhg an amp
