Charging System Help

by dkmons32 » Sat May 06, 2006 11:01 pm

Hey guys I need some suggestions on my new system and power requirements. So far, Ive got two JL 1000/1 amps, a JL 450/4 amp, two JL 12W7s, and two sets of MB Quart PCE 216s. Havent installed any of the gear yet, and was wondering about my power requirements and what I need to get. I read the FAQs on both alternators and capacitors, but am still lost on what I need. I just replaced the stock battery with an Optima deep cycle battery but I don't think thats gonna cut it. My current alternator puts out 90 amps (IS300), and Ive been looking online for bigger ones but the biggest i can find is about 175 amps. According to the FAQ, I'm guessing im gonna need about 300amps? Help will be greatly appreciated :)
